New Rules and Announcements:

As of October 5, 2015, the Sportsplex will follow these new rules.

11.3 – CONTACT WITH THE NET

11.3.1 – Contact with the net by a player between the antennae, during the action of playing the ball, is a fault. The action of playing the ball includes (among others) take-off, hit (or attempt) and landing.

11.4 – PLAYER’S FAULTS AT THE NET

11.4.4 – A player interferes with play by (amongst others): touching the net between the antennae or the antenna itself during his/her action of playing the ball – using the net between the antennae as a support or stabilizing aid – creating an unfair advantage over the opponent by touching the net – making actions which hinder an opponent’s legitimate attempt to play the ball – catching/holding on to the net. Players close to the ball as it is played, or who are trying to play it, are considered in the action of playing the ball, even if no contact is made with the ball. However, touching the net outside the antenna is not to be considered a fault (except for Rule 9.1.3).

All volleyball players will need a Sportsplex ID card to play in a match.  You can get your picture ID card up in the office after you fill out a individual waiver. The cost of the ID card is $5.  If you already have a Sportsplex ID from playing soccer you will not need another one.  All subs will also need ID cards before they play.

SINCE MORE TEAMS PLAY IN THE FALL & WINTER, YOUR LEAGUE MIGHT HAVE FRIDAY MATCHES.

Volleyball Leagues consist of 8 weeks plus top 4 teams playoff game. Leagues may include some Friday matches. See the info below for league dates and schedules. All leagues starting after July 1, 2024 will cost $500.00 and must be paid in full before your team will be added to the schedule.

No Fairfax County fee for out of County Residents.

TEAM FEE MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOUR TEAM WILL BE ADDED TO THE SCHEDULE.
